Somehow, Neil Gaiman's blog in which he addresses men with flamethrowers outside his window made me really happy:

"It was a man walking down a gravel path with something like a huge industrial version of this -- http://www.flameengineering.com/Red_Dragon_Propane_Torch_K.html -- an organic way to get rid of weeds.

(Oh, you say. Is that all? I thought it would be more exciting. Indeed, I say. Goodnight)"

Ah, Gaiman, how I love thee...

I only have one more paper to write on "Northanger Abbey," the novel, and various methods of reading that the characters represent. Actually, it's kind of interesting, and this weekend is Austen's birthday, so it seems kind of appropriate...*sigh* I'm afraid I'm turning into a Janeite. But I broke out Mansfield Park--the movie for a LEAP program today and my TLAs really enjoyed it, which is gratifying. Even though it has the least correspondance with the book, I like MP the best out of all the Austen movie adaptations.

EDIT: TODAY is actually Austen's birthday. And snooping around lj communities, if anyone's seen the new P&P, that sappy ending? It wasn't in the UK version. Apparently, US fans are too stupid and need closure...oi. Also, there is a community for Austen slash. Um...no. Just don't see it. Although, I suppose that Bingley and Edward are really pansy sometimes.

It has to be ten pages due by monday. I finished research on it today, but I can't bring myself to make an outline tonight.

My modernism professor was half an hour late for our final on Wednesday. I had to rush through it to be at work on time, but I missed the train anyway ^_^;; At this point, I don't even care how I do in that class...

I went and bought new headphones at the gallery with the extra time I had.
