Screw you, snow.
Feb. 8th, 2010 03:39 pmFfff I really don't want to be in work right now. The snow makes me lazy. My head is just not in the game. Hasn't been for the past few days. I think I'm in hibernation mode, or something. Why isn't it spring yet?
Anyway, I spent about an hour yesterday shoveling out my car-- but alas, I am pretty convinced that I am still not going to be able to move it ever again, or at least, you know, not until April. Because it's parked on the street, it was hard to clear. And it's also not a dedicated spot, so even if I do move it, I don't think I'll be able to park again! The joys of living in the city. But on the other hand, it is pretty nice to be able to walk to the grocery store, coffee house, etc., and not have too much of a hassle commuting in to work.
Speaking of commuting in to work, Francine Prose is coming tomorrow night, and in spite of the predicted second snow storm, the event is still going forward-- so I'm going to have to figure that out. I think I might just take the bus in and taxi it back home afterward...
