So, I figured I'd update since I haven't in a while. I really don't have anything exciting going on right now. I forgot how monotonous summer is. I work 9-5, get home around six, eat dinner, take a shower, and then lay around lethargically, wasting brain cells. This could involve either reading, or watching anime. Lately it's been FMA until I pass out around eleven. (I'm up to episode 37! woohoo!).

Anyway, it sounds nice, but is actually really boring...

Work also kind of sucks (hence above). None of my old coworkers are left *sob*. So now it's all new work study people. I'm sure they're nice, it's just at that awkward period where no one really knows each other.

Also, with Science in the Summer, I am bitterly doing 16 dollar an hour administrator work for ten dollars an hour. I can't even set a schedule- with all that needs to be done before June 27, the launch date, I am full time. But hey, if I didn't do it, who would with the staff cuts? And it's a good program that I want to continue. It just sucks having to count out items, place orders, and figure out where to ship things, all with major miscommunications involved-- which is the most frustrating part. And the woman "in charge" of the program is majorly bitter/jaded, inept socially, and as such annoying. *le sigh*

Anyway, it's turned me off to the library as a career path. Being a librarian makes you very bitter. I don't want to be bitter for the rest of my life.

The question is then, what the hell will I do?

If you're looking to avoid the negative effects of budget cuts, then you should avoid the public sector all together...

Your life sounds like mine! Except I pass out around 10. Is Comfort still there?

You are such a better person than I am, when new people show up I usually sit around thinking of reasons why they are big losers, and then they turn out to be really nice, and then I feel tremendously stupid. You would think I would learn, but...

I will probably be at your house occasionally on Wed. in the fall, as I will not have a TV and well, Naveen is calling me!

No, Comfort didn't have any funding for the summer so she is gone. :(

Well, I think that always happens with new people, I do that a little too. In reality, it's just really awkward.

Hooray!! Wednesday Lost parties! Where we can drool! Sounds like fun to me. XD

Well, you could always teach! But you don't have to work in a public library, so the library career path isn't completely closed.

Yay, I have someone else to talk to about FMA! Actually, the part of the series that you're watching now is the part that I didn't like all that much. I still think the first 26 or so eps and the last few are the best.

I wanted to try to get together with people at my house this week to watch anime, but that didn't happen. Maybe next week, if you're not too busy with work?

Hehe, that's true! I was thinking, as my sister was complaining about all she has to read, how much fun it must be to be a High School AP English teacher and torture all of the kids with books like Jane Eyre. How much fun must it have been for Cohen and his bowties?

Ahhh, I could gush forever about FMA. But I digress. I agree, the earlier episodes were better, but you just have to love The Flame Alchemist episode.

I will make a day for anime watching! Just tell me when : )

heh, I forgot to say that I did like the parts with Isumi, too. And the part about the gate. But the rest in that part of the series was sort of take it or leave it for me.

Oh, Isumi kicks ass. She is probably my favorite female anime character ever. No, really. Not Winry, though, she annoys me a lot.

The gate is cool. And the fact that Wrath has Ed's arm and leg, and not for equal trade, is creepy. There's just so much in that series that tugs at you...it's really good.

Winry is actually much better in the manga. I like her in the manga.

And the equal trade thing...yeah. Wait until you get closer to the end. Fun stuff about it there.
